Better overview and control of your personal data

From 25 May 2018 it will become easier for you as a customer of Danske Bank to get an overview over and control of the personal data we have registered about you, and to know what we use the data for.

The background is the new EU General Protection Regulation (GDPR) that takes effect on this date. The rules apply to all businesses, organizations and public institutions in the EU.

What is personal data?
Personal data is data that can be linked to you as a person. Examples of personal data, we typically register is your name, address, information about your household and financial situation.

What do the new rules mean?

​As a personal customer, you can view personal data in the new mobile bank and in eBanking from 25 May

From the same date, you can also order an overview of personal data we have about you (both as a personal customer and a business customer)

You are also welcome if you believe that we have data that is not up to date or is not relevant (both as a personal customer and a business customer)​

What do the new rules mean to businesses?

​If you are a sole trader, the new rules are of importance to you as a business customer, as they also apply to the data we have about your business. The rules do not apply to data about other types of businesses than sole traders.

Are you, as a person, connected to a business that is a
customer of Danske Bank?
If you are connected to a business that is a customer of ours, the rules are of importance to the personal data we have about you in that connection. For instance, we might have registered personal data about you if you are, for example, an owner, an authorised signatory or a mandate holder in a business that is a customer of ours.
